Amit, Kartavya receive warm reception in Jammu

JAMMU, Dec 17: Amit Kumar and Kartavya Verma, who represented India at the World Wing Chun Championship in Foshan, China, were given a warm welcome at Jammu Railway Station upon their return. Amit Kumar won a Gold and Silver medal, while Kartavya Verma secured a Bronze, marking a significant achievement for both athletes.
The Indian Wushu team, which included Amit and Kartavya, won a total of 9 medals-3 Golds, 1 Silver, and 5 Bronzes-showcasing India’s rising prominence in the sport.
Wushu Association of India officials, including President Vijay Saraf, General Secretary Bhavneet, and Vice President Ranjeet Kalra, congratulated the medal winners. Dronacharya Awardee Kuldeep Handoo also praised the team for their efforts and achievements.
