UDHAMPUR, May 18: Scripting a resounding win over Sanjeev Mangotra by (21-17, 21-7) in the summit clash, Amit Sachdeva clinched the men’s singles title trophy in Phase-1st Bhawan Sector of Mata Shri Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (MSVDSB) Staff Sports Meet, here today.
Earlier, in men’s semifinal, Sanjeev Mangotra defeated Vishal Sharma of J&K Bank by (21-16, 21-11) and Dr Amit Sachdeva got better of Ajay Sharma by (21-12, 21-14).
In men’s doubles, the duo of PL Sharma and Sanjeev Mangotra prevailed over the pair of Charan Dass and Vishal Sharma in the final by (21-17, 21-15) to win the title trophy.
In table tennis men’s singles, Dr Amit Sachdeva lost to Dinesh Sachdeva by (7-11, 8-11) in the final to help later win the trophy, while in table tennis men’s doubles, Sanjeev Koushal and Vimal Sharma defeated the duo of Dinesh Nanda and Rajesh to claim title.
Meanwhile in Phase 1st Adhkumari Sector, Jagdish Chander got better of Buta Ram by (21-13, 21-16) in the badminton singles finals, while in badminton doubles final Sumit and Vinod drubbed Sanjay and Neeraj Katoch to win the title trophy.
Earlier, in badminton singles semifinals, Jagdish got better of Sanjay Rasgotra and Buta Ram outclassed Angrez Singh.
