JAMMU, Aug 24: National president Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Amit Shah, while reviewing the BJP’s Mission 44+ at a meeting of senior Party functionaries here this evening said it is not such a mission which is difficult to achieve.
Showing his full determination in installing the first ever BJP Government in the State by winning more than 44 seats in the coming Assembly elections, the BJP stalwart who has been architect of Party’s victory in recent Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh has urged the Party leaders to take the policy programmes of the Party to every nook and corner of the State and apprise the masses of the pro-people programmes launched by Narendra Modi Government at Centre.
He urged them to launch a vigorous campaign in length and breadth of the State and expose those parties which are responsible for the miseries of the people in this trouble torn-border State.
Mr Shah, according to sources, during his meeting with senior, Party functionaries while taking stock of prevailing political situation in the State especially in the back drop of continuous shelling of borders and violation of cease fire by Pakistan asked them to visit border areas and provide maximum support to the people there by showing total solidarity with them.
He said the mis-governance by the successive State Governments is the root cause of sufferings of the people and with the formation of the Government BJP will take all steps in mitigating sufferings of masses in this militancy infested State.
Mr Shah, while boosting the morale of Party cadres in the State said senior National leaders and Ministers will visit J&K for campaigning to accomplish the Mission 44+ so that the installation of first ever BJP Government becomes a reality. These leaders and Ministers will visit every region of the State including Ladakh and seek vote for the Party, he added.
He said the situation is conducive for BJP in the State as people this time have made up with their mind to vote for the Party to get rid misrule of coalition.
Mr Singh, who has shown his grave concern over the shelling from across the border that caused a lot of devastation in border area of R S Pura expressed his total sympathy with the denizens who are braving the Pak aggressors with full courage.
To boost the morale of these people Mr Shah has cancelled his meeting with Party men in the morning and decided to visit border area of R S Pura to assess the situation there. Later, he along with other senior leaders of the Party will proceed towards Kathua where he will address a rally at Ram Lila Ground in which former MP and Minister, Lal Singh will join the Party.
Party sources said the names of probable candidates to be fielded in the coming Assembly elections were also discussed in the meeting and Mr Shah took a complete feed back from State leaders in this regard and their chances of winnability.
The meeting among others was attended by J P Nadda and Ram Madhav national general secretaries of the Party, Dr Jitendra Singh Union Minister in PMO, Avinash Rai Khanna, MP and Prabahri J&K, R P Singh National secretary and Seh Prabahri J&K, Jugal Kishore Sharma, State president of the Party, former presidents, Dr Nirmal Singh and Shamsher Singh Manhas and Leader of BJP Legislative Party, Ashok Khajuria.
Earlier Mr Shah was given a rousing reception by his Partymen and activists of BJYM youth wing of BJP, Mahila Morcha activists on his arrival to city of Temples this afternoon.
He was taken in a cavalcade of vehicles soon after he arrived at Jammu Airport by the Party men to Guest House at Canal Road here.
