Amit slams cracking ton as RCC Srinagar enters semis

JAMMU, July 2: Utility all-rounder, Amit Sharma slammed cracking century (102) as Rainawari Cricket Club (RCC) defeated star-studded New Challengers Cricket Club by a narrow margin of 15 runs in a high scoring match of 1st Titu Memorial Cricket Tournament, being played at High School ground, Satwari, here.
Earlier, batting first, RCC Srinagar rode on a swashbuckling knock of 102 runs off 70 balls by Amit Sharma and scored a mammoth total of 204 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Amit struck 7 fours and 9 sixes in his power-packed knock. Satish Kumar contributed valuable 31 runs off 21 balls with the help of 4 boundaries and one six. For New Challengers Club, Ramdayal and Sahil Sharma claimed one wicket each.
In reply, New Challengers Club gave a tough fight and managed to score 189 runs to lose the match by a narrow margin of 15 runs. Ramdayal was the top scorer with 57 runs off 30 balls, studded with 5 fours and 3 sixes, while Vishwajeet contributed quick-fire 44 runs off 17 balls with 4 fours and 3 sixes. Sidharth Magotra chipped in with 29 runs off 21 balls, hitting 4 fours and one six. For RCC Srinagar, Amit Sharma and Amandeep Singh scalped 3 wickets each, while Satish Kumar and Rahul Mussa too 2 and one wicket respectively. Amit Sharma was declared man of the match for his splendid show.
