Amit’s 5-wkt haul guides Jammu School XI to 13-run win

JAMMU, June 28: Brilliant 5-wicket haul by Amit Kumar guided Jammu School Cricket XI to 13-run victory over formidable Harbhajan Singh Institution of Cricket at the Institution ground at Jallandhar.
Earlier, batting first, Jammu School XI scored a fighting total of 139 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the stipulated 25 overs. Abhay Tandon was the top scorer with superb 36 runs, while Arya Suvansh Thakur and Udhay Partap contributed valuable 35 and 27 runs to the total respectively.
From Harbhajan Singh Institution of Cricket, Bunty, Sundharam and Abhinav took 2 wickets each, while Dhruv claimed 1 wicket.
In reply, Harbhajan Singh Institution of Cricket managed to score 126 runs by losing all their wickets, thus lost the match by 13 runs. Harshit was the top scorer with 34 runs off 43 balls, while Rajinder and Akul contributed 23 and 16 runs respectively. From Jammu School XI, Amit Kumar was the wrecker-in-chief, who took 5 important wickets,while Ashim Nanda took 2 wickets. Dhruv and  Abhay Tandon claimed 1 wickets each.
Amit Kumar of Jammu School XI was declared as the man of the match for his brilliant bowling display.
