Amritpal guides Samar to 87-run win over Super XI

JAMMU, Mar 24: Amrit Pal Singh’s 60 runs and 2 important wickets helped Samar Cricket Club to thrash Super XI by a big margin of 87 runs in the ongoing Holi Cup T20 Cricket Tournament, being played at Mandal Cricket ground, here.
Batting first, Samar Cricket Club scored a formidable total of 182 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 5 wickets in the process. Amrit Pal scored brilliant 60 runs off 40 deliveries, studded with 9 fours and one six, while Jagteshwar Singh and Monu Sharma contributed 33 and 32 runs to the total respectively. Anil and Sukhu took 2 wickets each for Super XI, while Sidharth claimed one.
In reply, Super XI collapsed at a paltry total of 95 runs in 16 overs to lose the match by 87 runs. Sukhu ad Vikrant scored 24 runs each, while Arjun chipped in with 15 runs. Kamal Kishore was the pick of the bowlers for Samar Club, scalping 3 important wickets, while Amrit Pal Singh and Monu Sharma took 2 wickets each. Amrit Pal Singh was declared man of the match for his all-round show.
