Anantnag Cricket League inaugurated

JAMMU, Jan 17: With an aim of encouraging sports and finding new talent in the field of cricket under Sadhbhavana XVII, Army organized a Cricket League for the youth of Anantnag District, today.
The League was inaugurated by District Sports Officer, Swaran Singh.
In this tournament 32 best teams of Anantnag will be competing against each other.
On the first day two matches were played between Bijbehara Sports and Islamia CC and another between Young Sports Kadipura and Islamia Sports Danter.
Bijbehara Sports after winning the toss and elected to bat first scored 188 runs in 18 overs, while in reply the Islamia CC were battling their way towards the target.
The cricket League has already generated lot of enthusiasm and zeal among the youth.
