JAMMU, Feb 25: Kargil Boxers clinched 7 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze medals in the recently concluded State Boxing Championship at M A Stadium Jammu organized by J&K Amateur Boxing Association.
All the players who won medals were trained under the supervision of NIS Boxing Coach Ghulam Mustafa at SAI SAG Center Kargil.
Chairman, J&K Legislative Council Haji Anayat Ali who is also the president of Kargil Boxing Association (KBA) appreciated the result of the players of Kargil and thanked Sports Authority Of India for opening Special Center at Kargil and also appreciated the efforts made by the first NIS Coach of Kargil Ghulam Mustafa.
Applauding the players for wonderful results Haji Anayat Ali urged upon them to grab this opportunity and take benefit from the facilities provided by the Government as the government both at Centre as well as State is focused on promoting Sports at Primary level.
Players who won gold medals included Zulfiqar Ali, Irfan Ali, Mohammad Hassan, Sadiq Ali, Nissar Hussain, Stanzin Angmo, Nilzaya Angmo while as Javed Iqbal and Stanzin Yangdol won Silver Medal and Ghulam Rasool, Tariq Alam and Sita Devi won Bronze Medals.
