JAMMU, Dec 25: Andhra Pradesh were in command against Jammu and Kashmir in Cooch Behar Under-19 Boys Tournament at Country Cricket Ground, Gharota, near here today.
After being bundled out for 157 runs in the first innings J&K were 134/3 in the second essay, still trailing by 44 runs after inflicted follow-on. Skipper Jiyaad Nazir Magray top scored with 49 runs, while Kanhaiya Wadhawan was unbeaten on 30 runs. Abdul Samad and Vivrant Sharma contributed 30 and 18 runs respectively. Durga Kumar, Vasu and Reddy took 1 wicket each from Andhra.
Earlier, in the first innings J&K scored 157 runs. Talented Musaif Ajaz scored unbeaten 67 runs, while Umran Malik, Rasikh Salam and Yawer Hassan contributed 23, 21 and 19 runs to the total respectively. From Andhra, Pranay Kumar took 4 important wickets, while Durga Kumar bagged 3 wickets.
Andhra had scored a decent total of 335 runs in the first innings.
