REASI, Mar 21: Employees of Animal Husbandry Department, who are agitating for the last seven days seeking release of their pending salary and resolution of other demands, have announced to further intensify their ongoing strike.
The agitating employees alleged that reason for non-drawl of their salary for the last two months is not non-availability of funds but concerned officers in the district.
Shortage of staff in the district can be gauged from the fact that out of total 21 posts of Veterinary Assistant Surgeons, 18 are lying vacant.
The agitating employees announced to go on fast unto death if no favourable decision is taken to resolve the issue.
