KATHUA, Apr 19: Annual Cultural Bonanza was presented by the students of Bharat College of Education, here today.
Prasana Ramaswami, Additional District Commissioner, Kathua was the chief guest on the occasion, while Harpreet Singh was the guest of honour.
The Bonanza started with the lighting of the traditional lamp by the chief guest, followed by Saraswati Vandana by the students.
Students presented colourful programme depicting cultures of different States of India. Punjabi Gida and Bhangra were the highlights of the programme.
Patriotic poems and songs were also presented by the students on the occasion.
Dogri culture was depicted in Dogri Dance, while students from Rajasthan presented skit in their local language.
The tribal dance presented by the students of Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand was appreciated by the audience.
Kashmiri dance with Bhumbroo song amused all and sundry.
Later-on chief guest advised the students to take part in cultural programmes regularly.
