SURANKOTE, Dec 25: While stealing the march, GDC Surankote celebrated its first Annual day-cum prize distribution function here today.
Dr Mohd Zaman Choudhary, Principal of the College presided over the function while Col G S Bhullar, Dy Commander 6 Sector Romeo Force was the chief guest and Prof S H Shah, Principal GDC Mendhar graced the occasion as the guest of honour.
A large number of Officers, academicians, Sarpanchs, Panchs, parents and prominent citizens attend the function with great enthusiasm. Dr Abdul Razaq formally welcomed the guests and the programme commenced with recitation of holy verses of Quran.
A colourful programme was staged by the students of the college followed by the address of high-flying speakers of the region. Prof Shabir Hussain emphasised over inculcation of morel values among students and preservation of Indian culture at all levels of educational hierarchy.
The Principal of the college Dr Zaman Choudhary in his presidential address placed before the audience the overall progress achieved in establishing the college and making it an institution of repute. Dr Munir Hussain extended formal vote of thanks.
