LEH, Sept 18: EJM College, Leh, wrapped up its Annual Intra-Mural Tournaments 2024 with a vibrant prize distribution ceremony held on campus today.
The tournaments featured a range of sports, including Tug of War, Table Tennis, Volleyball, Handball, and Football, with participation from both men’s and women’s teams.
The ceremony was presided over by Prof. S. K. Mehta, Vice Chancellor of the University of Ladakh, who emphasized the importance of balancing sports and academics. He encouraged students to pursue excellence in both fields.
The event was attended by notable guests including Nawang Tundup, Registrar of the University of Ladakh, Prof. Tashi Ldawa, Director of College Affairs, and Sonam Wankchuk, Special Secretary to the Vice Chancellor. Dr. Sameena Iqbal, Principal of EJM College, delivered the welcome address, highlighting the students’ enthusiasm and commitment during the 9-day tournament.
The ceremony included a cultural program and concluded with the prize distribution, where awards were presented by the distinguished guests to the winning teams and individual achievers. The tournaments provided a valuable platform for students to demonstrate their athletic talents and foster teamwork and sportsmanship.
