JAMMU, Aug 19: The annual Navdal yatra will leave from Jammu to holy shrine of Navdal in Tral in Kashmir Valley on August 22 to perform obeisance at the shrine on August 24 called Navdal Chourm.
The pilgrimage as a past tradition was held in culmination of annual Amarnath yatra and all pilgrims visiting the holy cave had to pay their obeisance at the shrine on Navdal Chouram and donate the stick etc used during holy Amarnath pilgrimage there.
The Navdal Tirath Prabhandak Committee held a meeting here, today to finalize the arrangements. It said the yatra will leave Jammu on August 22.
On August 24 the pilgrims will take a holy dip at Navdal spring and perform the pooja of Amareshwara Shivlingam. They will return Jammu next day.
After donating stick etc they will perform religious rituals of dead.
