Kishtwar, Dec 1: The Annual Sports Day was organised with great zeal on the theme “faster, higher, stronger-together” at Kendriya Vidyalaya, here today.
More than 900 students from all the classes participated in the event. The program was inaugurated by chief guest, MK Kashyap, Chairman VMC and General-Manager Dulhasti Power Station. SK Mishra (Nominee Chairman VMC), SK Jaikar (G.M. Civil), MP Dinkar (G.M. Electrical), DP Awadhiya (DGM IT), SachinVishkarma, Senior Manager (IT), Devinder Koundal Sr Manager (HR) and Commandant CISF were present during the event.
The programme started with the chief guest and dignitaries receiving guard of honour by the prefect Scouts and Guides of the School followed by lightening the lamp and KendriyaVidyalaya flag hoisting. In-charge Principal Manoj Kumar Verma formally welcomed the eminent.
The most intriguing aspect, embellishing the event was the splendid field displays such as welcome song, sack race, Jalebi race, Bag race, slow cycling, Arabic dance, tug of war and other athletic events, which splattered on the field, rendered the spectators speechless. This was followed by track events including 4X100 relay race for both boys and girls for secondary and senior secondary classes, 100 m race for boys and girls.
The prizes were distributed to all the winners by chief guest MK Kashyap. The event was hosted beautifully by Ankita and Pradeep Kumar coordinated all sports events and the vote of thanks was proposed by Ushmi Bala.
