KATRA, Mar 26: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) successfully organized Volleyball tournament under the flag of ‘Sarang-2K18’-Annual Sports Festival of the University.
In Volleyball (girls) final, ‘Prithvi’ House defeated ‘Aakash’ House to win the title, while in boys category, ‘Aakash’ House confirmed its berth for the final match.
The second finalist will be confirmed after the semifinal match of ‘Vayu’ and ‘Agni’ House. The tournament was organized by Board for Sports Activities (BSA) President Rajiv Kumar, under the guidance and supervision of Ashok Kumar, Director Sports, Shrine Board.
Capt. Sucha Singh, Sports Coach, was the match referee.
Vice Chancellor, Dr Sanjeev Jain and Dean of Students, Dr Yugal Khajuria lauded the efforts of the players of Prithvi House for winning the title in girls’ category and also gave his best wishes to the boys’ teams.
