MARH, June 8: Annual Wrestling Competition was organized by Peer Baba Nagbani-Smailpur, here today.
A good number of wrestlers from within and outside the State participated in the competition.
Suram Singh Chib, District Rural president PDP was the chief guest on the occasion.
A number of bouts amongst the wrestlers of different weight categories were held in the event.
BSF wrestler Omkar Singh won the final bout by defeating wrestler Manni of Punjab to lift the title.
He was awarded trophy and bout prize by the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, Suram Singh Chib impressed upon the youth to shun bad habits of drug addiction, smoking and alcohol and divert attention towards games which develop all round development of youth and also impressed upon their parents to create sport’s interest in their wards.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Parshotam Singh, president Sports Committee, Vikram Singh Langeh, Marh Block president, Buddhi Singh, Sagar Singh, Kamal Singh, Chamel Singh and Jagjeet Singh.
