Another four centuries highlight of 2nd day in Buchi Babu tourney

CHENNAI, Aug 16: Four more players scored centuries on the second day of the 4-day match against their opponents in the first round league matches of the All India Buchi Babu cricket  tournament on Friday.

At Tirunelveli, Madhya Pradesh after being bowled at its overnight score of 225 for eight in just nine balls against Jharkhand, fought back early in the innings to restrict their opponents.

However, Jharkhand skipper and wicket keeper Ishan Kishan, coming in at No.6, hammered a pulsating century (114, 107 balls, 5×4, 10×6) to help his team gain a vital lad and finish the day  at 277 for seven in 84 overs.

At Salem, Indian Railways resumed at 429 for six and ended up scoring 570 with Sahab yuvaraj scoring an unbeaten 105 (10×4, 6×6) before restricting Gujarat to 155 for three in 43 overs at the  close of play.

At Coimbatore, Haryana resuming at 288 for six, piled up 419, with overnight centurion Dheeru  Singh adding another 17 runs scoring 147 with 25×4 and later containing Mumbai to 133 four four  in 50 overs.

At Natham grounds in Dindigul, Jammu and Kashmir, resuming at 29-2 in response to Chhattisgarh’s 278, powered their way to 349 for four, thanks to unbeaten 147 by Shubam Khajuria (12×4, 5×6), who was also involved in two century partnerships to put the team in a commanding position.
