Ansari flags off Kashmir FC for prestigious I-League 2nd Division

JAMMU, Mar 18: The Jammu and Kashmir Football Association in collaboration with J&K Sports State Sports Counsel hosted flag-off ceremony of Lone Star Kashmir FC, 1st Professional Football Club of the State, departing for its debut appearance in I-League 2nd Division event to be held at Siliguri and Guwahati from  March 29, 2015.
Minister for Youth Service and Sports, Information Technology and Technical Education, Imran Raza Ansari was the chief guest on the occasion, who while sharing his views with the players and officials said “it is a proud movement for entire State that a professional football team is going to compete at national level”.
The Minister congratulates the team Management and J&K Football Association for their efforts and applauded the contribution of Loan Star Group for being the sole sponsor of the Club.  Navin Agarwal, Director General, Youth Services and Sports, who holds the charge of Secretary J&K State Sports Council also, was the guest of honour. He shared words of encouragement with the players and the officials of the team.
President J&K Football Association and treasurer AIFF, Zameer Ahmad Thakur threw light on aims and objectives behind formation of this Kashmir FC.
Zubaida Yousuf, Chairperson Lone Star Groups presented the flower bouquet to the Minister as a token of gratitude from the Club.
Among others Chief Sports Officer, JKSSC, Manager M.A Stadium and Executive members of JKFA were also present on the occasion.
Later, the Minister flaged-off the players for the event and wished them best of luck.
