JAMMU, Dec 6: The Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) today claimed to have arrested a narcotics smuggler with 1500 psychotropic capsules from Narwal area here.
An ANTF official said that Raj Kumar of Shakti Nagar Jammu was arrested with the consignment after a trap was laid by a team of Police Station ANTF Jammu headed by Tanweer Ahmed, DySP ANTF Jammu under the supervision of SSP ANTF J&K, Raj Kumar.
He said the accused has been accordingly booked in case FIR number 09/2024 under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station ANTF Jammu and further investigation entrusted to Inspector Nayat Ali of ANTF Jammu.
Meanwhile, the ANTF has appealed the general public to share information about the suspected drug peddlers and activities in their area to save the youngsters from the menace of drugs.
