Anubhav, Ritvik, Sidhant emerge winners in junior instrumental category; Tanya, Sagar in Kashmiri speaking competition

JAMMU, Oct 5: Jammu Kashmir Vichar Manch (JKVM) organised final competition of “Gaash Tarukh-IV” at Sathya Sai Auditorium, New Delhi. The selection of the awardees for the Lalita Kaul Sahib Memorial Award for Kashmiri speaking was also done this time along with “Gaash Tarukh-IV”.
Gaash Tarukh is a talent hunt programme of displaced community kids in many domains Kashmiri speaking, singing, dancing and instrumental.
This was the 4th edition of “Gaash Tarukh-IV”. The selection once again was the result of over three months long search and exposure of talent within the community. Audition level tests were held in all the localities of Delhi NCR where the displaced community lives in concentrated form by Jammu Kashmir Vichar Manch in the month of July to September.
A group of 87 young boys and girls was shortlisted from over 200 children and out of 87, 37 kids were selected for final.
The final was judged by a panel of leading Kashmiri Artists under the guidance of Padmashree Bhajan Sopori.
While speaking, Bhajan Sopori urged young contestants to peruse this art in a consistent manner. The awards were also given away by Pt Bhajan Sopori.
AN Kaul highlighted the importance of Kashmiri speaking and added that every parent should make it a practice to speak with his child in Kashmiri.
In his welcome address, Sanjay Ganjoo, President JKVM and Sanjeev Raina Gautam, Convener, Gaash Tarukh and Secretary JKVM also expressed their views.
In Instrumental Juniors’ category (6 to 13 years), the winners were Anubhav Salman from Gurgaon, Ritvik Koul and Sidhant Chaku.
In Instrumental Seniors category (14 to 21 years), Aryman Koul and Shraishth Pandith Sopori claimed first and runner-up positions respectively.
In Dancing Junior category (6 to 13 years), Shreya Mattoo emerged winner, whileas Vihan Raina and Kinjal Safaya claimed first and second runner-up positions respectively.
In Dancing Senior category (14 to 21 years), Sneha Kaul of Vasundara Enclave, Vitasta Dutta and Tusharika Kaul claimed first, second and third positions respectively.
In Singing Juniors category (6 to 13 years), Sanat Kaul of Vipin Garden, Radhika Kaul and Vani Bhat emerged winners.
In Singing Seniors category (14 to 21 years), Surbhi Kaul, Vanshika Bhat and Aakriti Kaul claimed first, second and third positions respectively.
The Kashmiri speaking competition was judged by BL Koul (Deep), ON Bhat (Shabnam) and PN Dhar. In the competition Tanya Raina of Nawada Uttam Nagar Delhi emerged winner in junior group, whileas Sagar Koul of Vaishali Ghaziabad emerged winner in senior group.
In the end, Ajay Bharti, Organising Secretary, JKVM presented vote of thanks. Anju Razdan, Senior Member, JKVM conducted the proceedings of the programme.
