JAMMU, Dec 14: Anya from Air Force School Satwari, Jammu, has made history by becoming Jammu and Kashmir’s first-ever weightlifter to win a bronze medal in the 68th National School Games U-19 Girls Weightlifting Championship held in New Delhi. Competed in the +87kg weight category, Anya clinched a historic Bronze medal with her remarkable performance, showcasing exceptional skill and determination.
Secretary to Government Youth Services and Sports Department, Sarmad Hafeez, and Director General Youth Services and Sports, Rajinder Singh Tara lauded Anya and her coach Dhanraj Singh Slathia, for their outstanding achievement.
