JAMMU, Apr 5: AOC Higher Secondary School celebrated its Annual Day with zeal and zest, here today.
The School celebrated the Day on successful completion of 30 years of its existence.
The theme of the Annual Day was ‘Oneness’ representing the Indian Culture that is ‘Unity in Diversity’.
The function began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest, SSP Rndheer Singh, which was followed by Ganesh Vandana presented by the students.
Khushboo Mattoo, Programming Head of Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM Jammu was the guest of honour on the occasion.
Earlier, School Principal, Kiran Bala presented welcome address, while Chief Coordinator of the School, Shwetima Jmawal presented annual report.
The highlight of the day was the felicitation of the 5 Alumni of the School as five pillars.
The meritorious students of the School in academics and sports were also honoured on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest said that ‘Studies serve for delight, for ornament and for ability’.
Vote of thanks was presented by senior Lecturer of the Education Department, Upkar Singh Jamwal, who is successor of Lte Girdhari Singh Jamwal.
