JAMMU, Dec 6: A delegation from the Association of Industries (Regd) Gangyal, led by president Virendra Jain, today met with Rajesh Gupta, Chief Engineer of the Public Works (Roads & Buildings) Department.
The delegation requested repairs and blacktopping of several roads in Gangyal, especially those connecting the industrial area.
They pointed out potholes on roads leading from Tawi Canal via Garden State and from Preet Nagar to the industrial area.
The delegation also asked for urgent repairs to the road from Modern Town to the industrial area.
In response, the Chief Engineer assured that temporary repairs would be completed within a few days, and permanent repairs would be included in the upcoming budget.
The delegation then met with KK Thappa, Chief Engineer of JPDCL, to discuss the need for uninterrupted power supply to the industrial areas during winter.
Thappa, along with Executive Engineer Ashok Chibber, assured that there would be no scheduled power cuts unless an emergency situation arises.
Virendra Jain thanked both Chief Engineers for their support.
Other members of the association, including General Secretary Sanjay Langar and Treasurer Jatinder Singh, also attended the meetings.
