The deputation was led by core committee members comprising of Vijay Upadhaya, Rajesh Gandotra, MG Singh, Aswani Kotwal, JC Raina, Rajeev Verma and others.
The forum said that the Agriculture sector needs reorganization, revamping, restructuring and above all conductance of DPC/settlement of seniority pending for decades leading to chaos and demoralization of cadres.
“Due to thrust on Agriculture in new Union Budget and Centrally Sponsored Schemes, management of cadre is paramount so that farm production and productivity is increased and farmers are benefitted”, the forum said, adding, since Agriculture Minister is aware of burning issues plaguing the Department, it is high time that all the issues are resolved by taking all stakeholders on board.
The deputation said that the farmers’ plight cannot be improved if Agriculture foot soldiers are not taken care of and their sufferings are not ameliorated.
“Conduct of DPC/issuance of complete seniority of Class-VII including direct recruits and promotees, time bound/running grades for Agriculture officers to end stagnation and reorganization of department for which proposal already stands submitted to Agriculture Production Department making Panchayat and block as a unit are the challenges to be met head on”, the deputation added.
Later, the deputation also called on Sunil Kumar Sharma, Minister of State for Agriculture Production Department.
