JAMMU, Feb 28: A delegation of All Parties Migrant Coordination Committee (APMCC) called on Minister of State with Independent charge of Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Aijaz Ahmed Khan here today and discussed the six point charter of demands of the organization with him.
As per a release, the delegation was led by Mr Vinod Pandita president APMCC and its other members included King C Bharti spokesman of the organization, H L Chatta president ASKPC, Usha Nakhasi, T K Zutshi , Sanjay Koul and Veena Gurtoo.
The Minister informed the delegation that he will discuss the issues with the higher circles in the Government before holding the another round of talks with the APMCC, King C Bharti said.
He said the Minister who was assisted by Commissioner Secretary Revenue, B A Ronyal and other officers discussed all the six points threadbare with APMCC representatives.
Mr Pandit told Mr Khan that he broke the 15 day long fast at Porbandar on his written assurance and the Government should take early steps in settling the demands.
The APMCC expressed the hope that this time the Government will take necessary steps in settling the demands which include dialogue with Pakistan for permission to Sharda temple, establishment of Sharda Peeth University, probe into the encroachment of temples land in Kashmir, passage of shrines and temples Bill, one time compensation for over aged migrant youth and special employment package for non migrant Hindus from Valley.
