SRINAGAR, Sept 1: All Parties Migrants Coordination Committee (APMCC) and Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) along with the various temple management committees of Kashmir valley have asked the Government to pass the much awaited Kashmir Temples and Shrines Bill within the next Assembly Session without fail and any dilution.
In a joint statement APMCC and KPC alongwith Kashmir Temple Trust, Mata Tripur Sundari Sanstha, Devsar, Shardha Mata Trust, Bandipora, Mata Katyayani Temple Management Committee, Bhoot Nath Temple Management Committee, Kakran, Gangbal Trust and others have expressed concern over the reports that some elements were again trying to hobnob with the Government to dilute the Temple Bill which was unacceptable to the community.
The organisations which held a meeting in this regard said that Temple Bill must be passed within the comming session of the State Assembly without any dilution adding all the temples of Kashmir Valley irrespective of their affiliation must be included in the proposed temple and Shrines Board of Kashmir.
The meeting resolved that community would not allow the Government to exclude some of the temples due to political pressure and warned of a intensified agitation if the Government succumbs to the pressures from vested interests.
The meeting also reminded the Government of APMCC struggle in this regard.
KPC Chief Kundan Kashmiri in his statement said that his organisation was fully behind APMCC in this struggle.
Vinod Pandit, Chairman APMCC reminded the Government of his organisation’s 6-Point charter of demands.
King Bharati National spokesperson APMCC said that APMCC has already announced Kafan Yatra in support of 6-Point charter of demands from Kashmir to Kanya Kumari if the Government fails to keep its word again.
