APMCC performs first ever Kalash Pooja at Kishen Ganga

SRINAGAR, July 23: All Parties Migrants Coordination Committee (APMCC) supported by Harmukh Ganga (Gangbal) Trust (HGGT) performed first ever ‘Kalash Pooja’ at the banks of holy river Kishen Ganga at Teetwal, 186 Kms from here in Karnah sector in Kashmir Valley to pray for the re-opening of historic and ancient Shardha Peeth temple located in Muzzafarabad district of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) for which APMCC has been actively campaigning since 2004.
The volunteers led by Vinod Pandit, chairman APMCC took holy dip in Kishen Ganga river on the banks of which the ancient Shardha Peeth is located in POK and appealed the Government of India and Government of Pakistan to expedite the process of re-opening of Shardha Peeth temple for the Hindus of Jammu and Kashmir on the pattern of Cross LoC visits by the residents of J&K on permit system.
According to a statement issued by King C Bharati, National spokesperson APMCC, the volunteers of Team APMCC performed ‘Kalash Pooja’ for the first time after 1947 and prayed for the peace in the country particularly in Jammu and Kashmir and dignified return of Kashmiri Hindus to their motherland.
The yatra started from Srinagar and passed through Sangrama, Sopore, Kupwara,Trehgam, Kralpora, Chowkibal, and Sadhna Top (10269 above Sea level), Tangdar, Chamkoot, Chitrakoot, Sikh Bridge, Dringla, to reach Teetwal Kishenganga located in Himalayas originally known as Tirath Mal.
Later Team APMCC lead by Vinod Pandit also visited War Memorial at LoC Teetwal and paid Shradhanjali to the brave Army and security force personnel for their supreme sacrifice while defending the nation.
Vinod Pandit while appealing Prime Minister, Narendra Modi to expedite the matter with Pakistan reminded him of his promise made to APMCC team including Vinod Pandit and King C Bharati on February 18, 2013 when they met him at his residence in Gandhi Nagar, Gujarat after 15 days of Porbandar hunger strike.
He said that APMCC had submitted a six point charter of demands which included re-opening of Shardha Peeth temple for which Modi Ji had promised to take-up the matter if he becomes the Prime Minister.
Team also appealed the J&K Governor, NN Vohra to pursue the matter with PMO as the J&K Government has already taken it with PM Modi some time ago.
Prominent among those who attended the ‘Kalash Pooja’ include Vineet Raina, Sumit Pandita, Bittu Ji Koul, Avtar Krishan Bhat, Ajay Bhat, TN Pandita, Rohit Bhat, Surinder Ji and Sameer Ji.
