JAMMU, Mar 11: Apple Kids, Sainik Colony celebrated its Annual Day cum Prize Distribution ceremony today, amidst great fanfare with full gusto and enthusiasm.
The function was adorned by Dr Pawan Kotwal, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, who graced the occasion as the chief guest, Dr Chand Trehan renowned Psychologist and Counsellor as the guest of honour and Deepa Kotwal was the special guest.
The lighting of traditional lamp by the honourable chief guest, guest of honour, special guest and other dignitaries followed by Ganesh Vandana provided an auspicious beginning to the event.
The students presented the colourful cultural fiesta through their enthralling dance performances in the form of Dogri and Kashmiri Dance, Modern form of Dancing, Prop Dance, Patriotic dance etc.
Students of  Sr.KG through their play ‘Our Beautiful Planet Earth’ urged the whole mankind to give them a chance of witnessing the Unique & Beautiful Planet Earth and not just read about the green planet in the books of fiction.
The programme was followed by the Prize Distribution Ceremony where the chief guest, the guest of honour and special guest presented trophies to the meritorious students for their outstanding performance in academics and the other co- curricular activities and for their punctuality and regularity.
Special guest Deepa Kotwal felicitated the students of Sr KG during Graduation Ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Pawan Kotwal while applauding the efforts of Apple Kids Management, teachers & students said,”developing good discipline and values in children of this age is one of the most important jobs of parenthood. But this vital task takes time, patience and understanding”.
Dr Chand Trehan while speaking on the occasion said that, “the child’s constant questions reflect another side of pre-school development – his intense curiosity and deep thrust for knowledge”.
Principal of the school, Veena Aswal presented the vote of thanks .
Centre Head, Bindu Mehra presented the mementoes to the chief guest, guest of honour and the special guest.
