JAMMU, Dec 28: Army Public School (APS) Akhnoor celebrated its annual day and prize distribution function.
The theme of the function was “NAVRAS” depicting different emotions including laughter, disgust, anger, fear, courage, wonder, sympathy, peace, love and technology.
The program started with the arrival of chief guest Major General Gagendra Joshi, GOC 10 Infantry Division, escorted by Officiating Principal of the school Rakesh Chander and other senior teachers of the school.
Rita Joshi Chairperson FWO, 10 Infantry Division was the guest of honour on the occasion. Chairman of the school Brig Vikas Chaudhary was also orating the function.
The welcome address was presented by Sonika Chittoria, followed by annual report for the session of 2018-19 by Rakesh Chander Officiating Principal.
A variety of performances including divine salutation, Hasya Ras, Rurda Ras, Veer Ras, etc. were staged. The play based on internet addiction stole the show due to its thrilling and fantastic acting of the children.
After this, the prize were distributed among the meritorious students of the year in the field of academic as well as sports and other co-curricular areas by the guest of honour.
On the occasion, annual school magazine “DISHA” was also released by the chief guest.
In the end, vote of thanks was presented by Kanika Chand TGT Maths APS Akhnoor.
