JAMMU, Aug 29: Army Public School Damana organised a function in the School premises solemnizing the formation of new ‘Student cabinet’ for this academic session, here today.
A spirit of unity and dynamism filled the air as the grand ceremony commenced with the mellifluous prayer song rendered by the School choir, followed by the newly appointed council members pledged to bestow their duties to the best of their abilities.
The selection process of School cabinet was done democratically by following an electoral process wherein the students of class IV-XII casted their valuable votes for the position of Head Boy and Head Girl of the School. The Council was finally selected on the basis of their scholastic and co-scholastic performances in the past two years.
Pushpinder Kaur, Principal APS Damana accorded and conferred the sashes to the student’s council enabling the young shoulders to wield responsibility.
The title of Head Boy was garnered by Master Amitoj Singh (XII A), whereas the position of Head Girl of the School was taken by Deepanjali Rajput (XII B). The title of Junior Head Boy and Junior Head Girl were garnered by Yuvraj Singh (VE) and Yashasvi Koul (VC).
It was a proud moment for all the parents of newly elected cabinet members to witness their children being invested with great responsibilities while embarking on a new journey as leaders. Principal congratulated them and advised them to be impartial and honest in discharging their duties.
