APS Damana wins School of Innovation Award

JAMMU, Nov 24: Army Public School (APS) Damana participated in Youth Ideathon-2021, organized by CBSE in collaboration with Management Entrepreneurship Professional Skills Council (MPESC) under Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and won ‘School of Innovation Award’ at IIT New Delhi on November 20.
It is India’s largest K-12 school level ideas festival to harness innovation and entrepreneurship potential on young minds of India under the theme ‘Mera Idea Jo Badal De Bharat’.
School Principal, Pushpinder Kaur received the award and commended the rhapsody of creative ideas put up by the students which was the upshot of myriad hours of hard work and dedication by the students and educators of the School.
Anurita Koul, PRT of the School was bestowed with Teacher of Innovation Certificate and national recognition in India’s Teachers of Innovation list, whereas the ineffable idea of Ritik Bhat of the School was selected among top 100 creative ideas. Ritik Bhat emerged as the UT winner and was conferred with cash prize of Rs 10,000 and UT winner certificate.
It is pertinent to mention here that the students from all over the country participated in this event and the APS Damana is the only school in the entire UT of J&K from where seven students emerged amongst the top 500.
Founder of Youth Ideathon, Shivani Singh Kapoor and Director, Sanjeeva Shivesh appreciated the kind of engagement and active participation of the students and teachers.
