APS Dhar Road’s Annual Sports Week concludes

UDHAMPUR, Oct 11: Annual Sports Week for 2024-25 of Army Public School (APS) Dhar Road concluded here today. The event was inaugurated by the school principal, Dr. Jyoti Bedyal, who lit the ceremonial lamp to mark the occasion.
A variety of sports competitions were organized for students across different grades, ensuring adherence to age categories. Events included Relay Races, 400 m and 200 m Races, Tug of War, Tunnel Race, Obstacle Race, Hurdle Race, and Caterpillar Race, all fostering a spirited sense of competition among the students. The entire school participated with enthusiasm and energy.
In the closing ceremony, Chairman of APS Dhar Road was the chief guest. During the ceremony, winners of various national and international sports events, along with academic achievers, were awarded trophies and medals. The event also featured performances such as a welcome song, a karate demonstration, and a lively dance by the students.
Notable recognitions included Sujal Yadav for securing first place in the district-level board examination for Class 10, and Dinesh Kumar, who received the AAWA Award of Excellence. Avadhesh Kumar was honoured with the Best Teacher Award for 2023-24, while sports teachers Sunil Kumar and Ekta Rani were also acknowledged for their contributions. Dr. Bedyal received the ‘Best Principal Award’ in the Northern Command.
In her annual report, Dr. Jyoti Bedyal highlighted the school’s commitment to holistic student development and expressed gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of the Sports Week.
