JAMMU, Aug 4: Outplaying APS BD Bari in a close contest by two goals to one (2-1) in summit clash, APS Kaluchak lifted the title trophy of the ongoing Inter-APS Cluster-1 Boys Football Championship, here today.
The competition witnessed dominant performances and close contests. It was head to head between the teams of APS Kaluchak and APS BD Bari who had qualified for the finals.
Eight schools including APS Jammu Cantt, APS Damana, APS Ratnuchak, APS BD Bari, APS Miransahib, APS Samba, APS Sunjwan and APS Kaluchak took part in this four days Championship.
The purpose of the competition was not only to foster virtues and sportsmanship spirit amongst the children but to help them display their skills at the higher levels.
Col Naveen Kumar was the chief guest on the valedictory function, who distributed prizes among the winners and runners-up teams.
He lauded the efforts of the players for their brilliant performances.
Hem Lata Vishen, Principal APS Kaluchak enthused the players by postulating that one can’t let the highs make one feel overconfident nor can one let the loss be a reason to dampen one’s spirit.
