APS Nagrota celebrates ‘Annual Day’

JAMMU, Nov 4: Army Public School (APS) Nagrota celebrated ‘Annual Day’, wherein Lt General Manjinder Singh YSM, VSM, GOC- HQ 16 Corps, was the chief guest, while Major General JS Bindra, COS HQ 16 Corps Patron APS Nagrota and Brig Rajiv Sharma, Chairman APS Nagrota were among other esteemed dignitaries, near here today.
The event commenced with the welcome of guests, followed by the lighting of a ceremonial lamp by the chief guest along with Ruchi Bahl, Principal APS Nagrota and other eminent dignitaries.
Principal Ruchi Bahl welcomed the guests and other prominent persons as well as parents of the students and shared the School’s achievements through the annual report. The meritorious students were given prizes for excellence in Academics, Sports and CCA,. The chief guest also unveiled a new edition of the School magazine “Reflections”.
The cultural programme based on the theme “Perspectives India @75” comprised multiple acts and dance performances highlighting India’s struggle for a free and independent nation. Students of both junior and senior wing portrayed a great show with their mesmerizing performances.
The chief guest in his address congratulated the entire team of APS Nagrota for putting up a grand and impressive show. He further added that it is commendable to note APS Nagrota is excelling in all fields like sports and cultural aspects apart from academics.
“APS Nagrota is imparting excellent education and the Principal as well as teachers are constantly working towards its development,” he asserted.
The vote of thanks was presented by Avinash Mahajan, Vice Principal APS Nagrota. The programme culminated with the National Anthem.
