JAMMU, May 22: Under the aegis of HQ AWES Northern Command, Army Public School, Nagrota organized a two day workshop on “Building Effective Communication Skills”, here today.
The aim of the workshop was to improve mutual understanding, build self confidence and enhance teaching-learning experience in the classroom through effective communication.
Rohini Rohit Gurung, School Principal spoke on how to develop effective communication skills and said that teaching as a profession is rewarding but more than imparting knowledge to students a large part of teaching is to communicate effectively to everyone.
Urvashi Dhar, senior coordinator of the School spoke on the importance of self-grooming.
The teachers also enjoyed a live demonstration on hair styling and smart dressing by Sudardhan Manhas. Ira Yadav gave an interesting presentation on Public Speaking.
Payal Sharma gave a presentation on how to improve one’s listening skills and Sagarika Sahasmal, the Counselor spoke on Managing Stress while Communicating.
Suja Daniel made a presentation on the importance of Non-verbal communication while Shardha spoke on how to improve one’s verbal skills.
