APS Rakhmuthi celebrates Annual Day

JAMMU, Dec 24: Army Public School Rakhmuthi celebrated its third Annual Day with zeal and enthusiasm, wherein the theme was ‘UDAAN’- flight from ignorance to awareness.
The function was organized on two days.
On day one yesterday, the function was graced by the chief guest Dr Rakesh Bharti, Lecturer in Education, while today Chairman of the school was the chief guest.
The school was beautifully adorned with flags and rangolis.
The programme commenced with lighting the traditional lamp as a tribute to Goddess Saraswati.
After that Shaswati Ghosh, Principal of the school presented the school Annual Report, highlighting the achievements of the school.
A sublunary bonanza of skits, songs and dances enthralled the audience no end. The main theme focused on education which will lead to enlightenment and remove the social stigmas such as Child Labour, Female Infanticide and Women Empowerment which are to be reckoned with grievance.
The folk and fusion dances depicted ‘Unity in Diversity’. The expressions and malleability of the students mesmerized the audience.
Afterwards there was a prize distribution ceremony. Gandhi House bagged the award for best performer in various inter-house competitions. The Chief Guest eloquently addressed the gathering with his views on futuristic vision and conveyed the necessity of learning.
Vote of thanks was presented by the Principal. The day ended with National Anthem, resonating in everybody’s mind and everyone left the school blithely.
