JAMMU, June 3: Inter APS’s Ethics Bowl competition concluded here today at Army Public School Ratnuchak in which APS Ratnuchak clinched the title. The program had commenced on May 24.
The event brought together eight prominent schools from the cluster-I under the aegis of the Western Command such as APS Ratnuchak, APS Damana, APS BD Bari, APS Miran Sahib, APS Sunjwan, APS Jammu Cantt, APS Kaluchak and APS Samba.
Each participating school fielded one team of six speakers. The competition was fierce and intellectually stimulating. Ultimately, four teams advanced to the semi-finals; APS BD Bari, APS Damana, APS Ratnuchak and APS Jammu Cantt. Demonstrating exceptional skill and poise, APS Ratnuchak and APS Damana triumphed over their opponents in the semi-finals, earning their places in the grand finale.
Judging criteria were comprehensive, focusing on the clarity in addressing central ethical dilemmas, awareness, thoughtful consideration of opposing viewpoints and most importantly, respectful dialogue.
In a commendable display of eloquence and critical thinking, six students were recognized as the Best Speakers and awarded trophies. The AWWA Ethics Bowl Rolling Trophy was clinched by APS Ratnuchak, marking a significant achievement for the school.
