*APS Ratnuchak, Damana placed second

JAMMU, Apr 30: Eight Army Public Schools of Cluster-1 (APS Kaluchak, APS Ratnuchak, APS Miran Sahib, APS Damana, APS Jammu Cantt, APS Sunjuwan, APS BD Bari, and APS Samba) participated in the inter-APSs Cluster-1 Football tournament Under-17 Boys and Girls categories, which was hosted by Army Public School Samba.
In an incredible accomplishment, APS Samba won the championship trophy in the Under-17 Boys category, followed by APS Ratnuchak as runners-up. In the Under-17 Girls category, APS Jammu Cantt won and APS Damana placed second.
Harish Chander of APS Samba in boys category and Akriti of APS Ratnuchak & Aditi of APS Jammu Cantt in girls category were adjudged as best players. The tournament’s conclusion was graced by the Chairman, APS Samba as the Chief Guest and the Principal APS Jammu Cantt and APS Ratnuchack were among the special guests, signified a momentous occasion
Following a knockout format, the Quarter-finals and Semi-finals were contested for 70 minutes each, while the final matches extended to 90 minutes. The champions were honoured with trophies by the Chief Guest, while the runner-up teams received runner up trophies.
During the felicitation, the Chief Guest commended the players for their outstanding performances, praising their dedication and spirit. Sanjeev Pradhan, Principal APS Samba, extended heartfelt congratulations to the triumphant teams applauding their remarkable achievements.
