UDHAMPUR, Nov 8: Army Public School, Udhampur, celebrated its Annual Sports Day 2024, themed “Spardha”, with immense enthusiasm, today demonstrating the school’s dedication to fostering sportsmanship, teamwork and overall excellence.
The event was graced by Aashima Dhillon, Chairperson, Family Welfare Organization (FWO), headquarters 71 Sub Area, as the chief guest, along with other distinguished dignitaries including Col M S Rawat, Director AWES, HQ Northern Command, Sanjeev Kumar, Principal APS Udhampur and Reena Sharma, Vice Principal APS Udhampur.
The day began with the lighting of the sports flame, followed by a grand March Past by six contingents, including two NCC and four house contingents marked the start of the day’s events, which included various track and field and cultural activities, adding to the excitement.
Principal Sanjeev Kumar presented the annual report, highlighting the school’s achievements in education, sports, and infrastructure. Prizes were distributed by the chief guest to the toppers of Classes X and XII, National Sports Achievers, Best NCC Cadets, and other outstanding students. Kamakhya Kamal (96%) and Pankush Singh (98.8%) were honoured as the top performers in Classes X and XII, respectively.
