UDHAMPUR, Oct 22: Army Public School (APS), Udhampur hosted and emerged victorious in the Northern Command Inter Cluster Hockey Championship, highlighting exceptional sportsmanship, teamwork and unwavering school spirit.
The event was graced by Major General Navraj Dhillon, GOC 71 Sub-area and Patron of APS Udhampur, along with Ashima Dhillon, Chairperson FWO, as the chief guests. Among other dignitaries present were Col K.S. Deshpande, Deputy Commander TA Gp HQ, Lt Col Surendra S, SO to Chairman APS Udhampur, Sanjeev Kumar, Principal of APS Udhampur, and Reena Sharma, Vice Principal of APS Udhampur.
Major General Navraj Dhillon addressed the teams, wishing them good luck and emphasizing the importance of teamwork and discipline in the competition ahead.
The final match was a thrilling encounter between APS Udhampur and APS Kanpur. APS Udhampur displayed remarkable skill and coordination, securing a commanding victory with a final score of 8-1, and clinching the championship title. Their stellar performance was a testament to the hard work and dedication of both the team and their coach, Gurmeet Singh.
The event concluded with a Prize Distribution Ceremony led by Col K.S. Deshpande and Lt Col Surendra S, who congratulated the winning team and honoured all the participants for their outstanding efforts throughout the competition. They expressed their admiration for the passion and dedication displayed by the athletes and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence.
