JAMMU, Dec 9: Ritu Singh honoured international Para-Archer Sheetal Devi and her coach Abhilasha at an event held at Hari Niwas Palace here today. The 16-year-old Sheetal Devi has achieved an incredible feat in Para Archery that has gained recognition on national and International levels.
Ritu Singh, founder trustee of DPS Jammu, Katra and Nagbani presented trophies to both Sheetal Devi and Coach Abhilasha in recognition of their achievements. On this occasion, students from DPS Jammu, Katra, and Nagbani had the opportunity to engage with Sheetal Devi, which proved to be inspiring. They drew inspiration from her incredible journey, which infused them with a revived sense of determination and ambition.
Ritu Singh, in her ongoing outreach projects, Vridhi at DPS Nagbani and Project Roshni at DPS Jammu, also announced another outreach initiative named Project Pankh in collaboration with DPS Katra, aimed at nurturing excellence in sports.
Acknowledging Sheetal’s exceptional talent, she urged Coach Abhilasha to collaborate with DPS Katra, emphasizing the importance of supporting and nurturing more specially-abled children in the realm of sports. The vision is to create an environment that fosters talents akin to Sheetal, aspiring to unveil numerous sporting prodigies within the community. Ritu Singh expressed a heartfelt commitment, highlighting the aspiration to serve as a bridge in nurturing talent and promoting inclusivity.
