DODA, May 29: To motivate and promote sports among young students, 2nd J&K (I) COY NCC Bhaderwah in collaboration with District Administration Doda held an Archery event at Girls Hostel, Govt Girls Higher Secondary School Doda today.
Brigadier PS Cheema accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Doda Harvinder Singh,  Colonel NCC J&K M.K Sharma, and DYSSO Doda Sunil Kumar were among the dignitaries present on the occasion.
Brigadier PS Cheema and Deputy Commissioner Doda Harvinder Singh emphasized the importance of archery in developing concentration, precision and physical fitness among students. They highlighted how the sport can foster discipline, patience and a sense of achievement. The introduction of archery at the Girls Hostel aims to encourage more students to participate in sports, promoting a balanced and healthy lifestyle.
Following the inauguration, Brigadier Cheema and DC Doda interacted with the students, sharing words of encouragement and motivation. They discussed the benefits of engaging in sports and how it can positively impact their academic and personal lives. The chief guests also distributed clothes to the students.
