ANANTNAG, Dec 30: Defeating Achabal Club in a close contest by four goals to three (4-3), Arhama Club lifted the title trophy of the Anantnag District Korfball Championship, organized by Korfball Association at Gund Achabal, here.
Six teams drawn from District Anantnag participated in this Championship.
Earlier, in the title clash, Arhama Club trounced Achabal in a thrilling contest by (4-3).
Meanwhile, Friends Club clinched the third place.
Peer Shabir, zonal vice president Breng was the chief guest on the occasion, who distributed prizes among the winners and runners-up teams.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Gh Hassan, Gh Mohd and Secretary, district Anantnag Korfball Association, Jahangeer Ahmed Bhat, organizing secretary of the championship.
