RAJOURI, Oct 8: First ever Arm Wrestling Championship was organised for different categories in Thannamandi area of Rajouri here today in which more than 200 players participated from different areas of Rajouri and Poonch districts.
Station House Officer (SHO), Thannamandi Hilal Azhar was the chief guest and BDO Thannamandi Rashid Khawaja was guest of honour. Hilal Azhar, SHO Thannamandi appreciated the organizing team for conducting such event. He asked youth to participate in games and keep themselves physically and mentally fit. The winners were Sehran Khan, Mahrab Dar, Ansab Khan, Asim Mirza, Safdar Ali, Waseem Mirza, Rohaan Shawl and Zohaib Rajput.
The cash prize of Rs 20,000 and trophy was given to winners by SHO Thannamandi, Hilal Azhar, Imran Khan (President Press Council Thannamandi) was also present on the occasion. The Championship was organized by Ansab Khan whereas prominent members of civil society were also present.
