JAMMU, Dec 26: Army today busted hideout of the militants in Chilli forest area of Doda district and recovered large quantity of arms and ammunition.
On a tip off, Sohanda based Rashtriya Rifles under Dharmund based Delta Force launched joint search operation in Chilli forest area of Doda district and destroyed hideout of the militants.
Recoveries made from the hideout included one Chinese pistol, one country made pistol, two 12 bore rifles, four magazines of AK-47, one Chinese grenade, two High Explosive grenades (Number 36), four UBGL grenades, 190 rounds of 7.62mm AK-47, 25 Pika rounds of 7.62mm, one Russian Night Vision Device and other items like stoves, plates, bowls, steel glasses, gunny bags and blanket.
Recoveries were made from the natural cave hideout, official sources said, adding that searches were conducted in the area after recoveries but no arrests were made from the area.
They said the arms were well hidden in the natural cave which was four feet in width and 10 feet in depth in remote and dense forest area of Chilli.
