JAMMU, Oct 20: Army chief Gen Dalbir Singh Suhag will be visiting Mamun Cantonment in Pathankot on a day’s visit on November 5.
Apart from presenting ‘President’s Standards’ to 50 Armoured Regiment and 84 Armoured Regiment, two front line Regiments of the Indian Army, Gen Suhag will be meeting top Army Commanders to review the situation with them.
A mounted parade with tanks will be one of the significant events of this historic occasion at Mamun Military Station, official sources said.
The Army chief is likely to review prevailing situation on the borders with top Army Commanders during his visit to Pathankot, they said.
The 50 Armoured Regiment was raised in 1989 under the command of Lieutenant Colonel (Now Brigadier) AK Bhatia (Retired).
Gen Suhag will present the `President’s Standards’ to the two Regiments on behalf of President Pranab Mukherjee.
