RAJOURI, Sept 26: Rashtriya Rifles Battalion under Romeo Force conducted Pir Panjal Knight Premier League for Cricket and Kho-Kho games for Thanamandi and Darhal Tehsils of Rajouri District from September 22 to September 25, 2014 at Thanamandi.
The event saw overwhelming response in which six teams of Kho-Kho and eight teams of Cricket from Darhal and Thanamandi tehsils participated.
The final match of Kho-Kho was organised on September 24 and the final match of cricket was organised on September 25. A large number of civil dignitaries, villagers and Cricket and Kho-Kho fans witnessed the matches.
The event was also witnessed by Police, Army, civil Officials and prominent citizens of the area.
On the occasion, Mohd Yusuf Lone, Zonal Sports Officer, Thanamandi said that the aim of organizing such matches is to promote the sports activities in the region and to create atmosphere of peace and harmony.
