DODA, July 22: A cultural event and educational seminar for students was organized by Rashtriya Rifle Battalion under Delta Force on the topic ‘Drug Addiction’ at Town Hall, here today.
The event highlighted the harmful effects of Drug Addiction to the public in general and youth in particular so as to prevent the spread of the problem in the area.
Bhupinder Kumar, DC Doda, Zahid Naseem Manhas, SSP Doda, Ajit Kumar Sharma, CEO Doda, Dr Kulbhusan, CMO Doda, Azad Ahmed Mughal, EPO Doda and officials of Rashtriya Rifles Doda were present on the occasion.
Around 300 locals along with civil dignitaries like OP Chandail, Principal, Green Model Hr. Secondary School Doda, Bharat Bhusan, Principal Paramount Public Hr. Sec. School Doda,Tanveer Ahmed Wani, Principal, Govt Boys Hr. Sec School Doda, SanaullahTantrey, Principal Shaheen Public Hr. Sec. School, Doda and ZN Hashmi, Principal, Degree College, Doda were present in the seminar.
The chief guest Bhupinder Kumar, DC Doda later addressed the participants and urged upon them to make the District free from the menace of Drug Addiction. He also reiterated that drugs are a growing evil in today’s society and our youth must not fall prey to it.
The chief guest awarded the winners of the cultural events and debate competition. The event was an indicator of the growing synergy between Army and Civil authorities to work towards the common goal of welfare of the public of Doda.
