Army conducts Cycling Expedition

JAMMU, Oct 10: To commemorate the 32nd Raising Day of the Indian Army Aviation Corps and the 3rd Army Aviation Reunion, a cycling expedition was flagged off today.
The expedition will traverse a total distance of 544 kilometers over a period of five days.  The expedition will reach Yol via Palampur and will culminate at Nagrota on October 13. The expedition aims to spread the message “Flight Safety Concerns All” and educate people enroute on their responsibilities in ensuring a safe flying environment.
Army Aviation Corps of the Indian Army was raised on November 1, 1986 and has done yeoman service to the nation by providing aviation support during Operations and natural disasters. This expedition is a tribute to the continuous and dedicated service provided by the Army Aviation Corps since its inception.
